"Brilliant!"

Just got back from a brilliant break in these apartments. Couldn't fault them. The apartment was lovely and clean as was the whole complex. Small and cosy, lovely pool, plenty of sunbeds for everyone. Reasonable prices in the snack/pool bar, with friendly staff who seemed genuinely happy to help. Washing up liquid and a couple of pan scrubs/dish cloths were provided - cleaners were quick and quiet. Would definitely use the Las Marinas apartments again in the future.

My husband and myself have stayed in Las Marinas twice and we have already booked for September this year again. It is, in our eyes, the very best.

"Las Marinas Was Amazing!"
Travel date:
September 2007
Well, what can I say? The minute me and my friend arrived at the Las Marinas apartments we were blown away. The whole pool area was gorgeous, pool looked very clean and the apartments are set out in a nice way. There were always plenty of sunbeds by the pool also, so there was no need to get up early and set towels out!
There was a wide choice of food from the pool bar menu and the food was very nice and served quickly. Only thing I didn't like about the pool bar was it closed at 5 p.m. and you had to order food an hour before it closed so it would have been a lot more convenient for it to have stayed open a bit later to save people having to come in early to get ready for the night ahead at just dinner time.
We stayed in a two storey apartment, which was extremely clean and a very good size for just two people. The beds were comfortable and the maids came regularly to clean the apartment and change towels and make your bed for you! The only thing I would have changed about the apartment was that on the upstairs balcony there was no lock, just a latch that I'm sure if pulled from outside wouldn't have opened but I still would have felt safer at night with a secure lock on the door, although the one on patio doors downstairs was very secure.
Tthe apartments are very quiet as we found it was mostly for couples and families, so I would suggest this as perfect place if you have a family, and not if there is more than two on a singles holiday as you might annoy the families. My friend absolutely loved it as well and I would definitely go back there. It's not far from Puerto del Carmen and it's only ten or 15 minutes in a taxi and only cost between four or five euros a time.
Reception closes at 8 p.m. so again, if you were going out any later than this, then we had to walk to a nearby hotel to call a taxi but they were very friendly and never minded.

"Basic And Very Clean"
Travel date:
April 2007
Myself and my daughter have just come back after two weeks staying at the Las Marinas apartments in Matagorda. We have been going to Lanzarote for the last eight years, mostly staying in hotels, so was a bit worried what we were going to get for the little money we paid.
There was no need, really good value. The apartment we stayed in was one of the one storey ones. It was small, basic but very clean. We were very impressed when we arrived as there was a bottle of water waiting on the table, washing up liquid, sponge and cleaning cloth by the kitchen sink - things people always need to buy when they arrive. The reception was very good. When we had problems with things in the apartment, they were fixed right away.
There was a great atmosphere while we were there as it was Easter and there was a mixture of Spanish, English, and Scottish and of course, us Irish. What I liked most was the fact that there were so many sun beds and it is the only place I have been where you did not have to get up early to get a bed. There was one family who at the beginning thought they had to put towels out to keep beds, that didn't last long as there was no need.
I am so used to staying in Matagorda so know the area very well and the apartments are in a very quiet area. You do have to be fit though as it is up a steep hill, all right when going into the centre but at the end of a long day it can become tiring to walk back.
Can recommend the small Chinese restaurant opposite the Greek restaurant the best Chinese I have ever tasted, Ask for the special menu for €6.50 great value and big portions.
Will probably stay there again.

Great location, just far enough out of the way to have some peace, but only a five euro ride to the strip. Nice enough apartments, front door and rear. Nice pool, not heated though. Plus points: location and cleanliness. Bad points: on site restaurant prices a bit pricey. Nice clean place to stay on a budget.

"Peaceful, Clean, First Class"
Travel date:

We recently stayed at Las Marinas and it was a joy all week. The resort was quiet and it was a perfect base for touring the island. The apartments have both a lower patio area and a balcony of the bedroom with table and chairs in both areas.
After a short stroll down to the resort centre, you will find loads of good quality eating and drinking places with the beach just across the promenade, which, by the way. is an excellent place to wander without traffic and hassle. If you need more action, a four euro taxi ride will take you to Puerto del Carmen which has a much busier feel and has a bigger selection of shops, many of which are selling the same gear!
If, like us, you are looking to chill out, have a few drams, catch a few rays and laze around the pool this is the place. Ten minutes from the airport, the Las Marinas will serve all your holiday needs. On a slight down side: when we were there the bar on site closed at 5.00 p.m. with last orders for food at 4.00 p.m. However, I think in high season it is open later. Go and have a great time - you know you want too!

"Las Marinas Apartments - Read More If You Are On A Budget"
Travel date:

Just got back from my holiday to the Las Marinas apartments in Matagorda. Overall the apartments were excellent. You have your own little house! Spotlessly clean and the cleaners come every day. The pool was gorgeous, although a little cold but if you take your time getting in its great - once you are eventually in it! A small children's pool - very nice. Plenty of sun beds - no fighting or putting towels down the night before! Staff very friendly and helpful.
The apartments are about five minutes walk down the road from the beach and the few shops and restaurants. This is the quieter part of Lanzarote but there are still lots of people about.
The food all over was expensive for us as we were on a budget. We found the cheapest and probably the best places to eat. In the morning we would walk to the beach and the little circle where most of the shops are based. You will find 'La Brisa' here where you can have a full English breakfast with two of everything plus chips and toast for one euro 95c. This was excellent value considering the cheapest from this is around seven euros (nearly everywhere) and you only get one of everything!
At night, we would get a taxi into Puerto del Carmen. The taxis are extremely cheap and you won't get ripped off. The taxi fare to Puertop del Carmen was around three euros. We would enjoy our evening meal at the American Indian restaurant. Here you can have a two course meal comprising of garlic bread and cheese for starters and steak for main for only five euros. You also get a free shot! These were the cheapest places to eat as everywhere else is as dear as at home! The cigarettes were cheap too. Roughly £7 for 200 Sovereign.
We had two young children with us so at night decided to go into Joe Smokes in Puerto del Carmen (upstairs from Spar!) Here there is a children's play area with ball pit slides etc.
The weather was great too. We got burnt the first day! It does cool down a lot at night so take a jumper for every one. Overall the hotel was gorgeous and we really loved our trip to Lanzarote!

"Clean And Basic - Great Value For Money!"
Travel date:
February 2006
My husband, 11 month old daughter and I stayed in the Las Marinas apartments for a week in Feb '06.
The accommodation was very clean and had everything we needed. You could hire anything else that you might require (DVD players etc) from reception for a fairly reasonable price.
The apartments were very pram friendly as there were ramps anywhere that there were stairs and our apartment was on a single level alt, but if you had a wheelchair it would not be recommended!
The reception staff were excellent. Great for local knowledge. They recommended the Matagorda Park Restaurant to us the first night but we had a look and went elsewhere. We ended up going there on the last night and it was the best meal we had all week.
Matagorda itself is very clean and has a lovely promenade. There is a square which has loads of restaurants in it - Chinese, Greek, Indian (bit pricey - they charged an 800% mark-up on their wine from the supermarket price), Japanese and the usual pizza, pasta and steak places that you get in Spain with pictures of the food outside. It is quiet though - but with that came peace when choosing a restaurant as there were no touts trying to drag you into places.
We had a great time and would recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxing break.

Spent one week's holiday at the New Year in the Las Marinas Apartments and we had a good time. Apartments are very good and well looked after. Pool is situated in the centre of the complex with an excellent poolside bar/restaurant. Easy walk down to the centre of Matagorda and the bars restaurants situated there. Overall the apartments are first class and we would certainly go back.

"Best Apartments We Have Stayed In So Far"
Travel date:
June 2005
We have just returned from a fortnights stay at the Las Marinas Apartments and we didn't want to come home. The apartments were spotless and the set up was ideal. The pool was just at our front door and Jinty Mcgintys was at the pool too. The food was lovely especially the Scottish breakfasts. We would really recommend it as it was nice and quiet for a relaxing holiday. With only a bus ride into the centre of Puerto del Carmen, it was peaceful during the day and if you want, the nightlife at night. Great apartments!!!!
