Review title: "Fariones Playa Aparthotel Is Great!"
Travel date: August 2008
After reading reviews of the Fariones Playa hotel, I was very wary of staying there. I heard rumours of disgusting carpets and even cockroaches coming out of the air conditioning. I can gladly say these are untrue.

The carpets could do with being redone. Yes, they have water stains on them but nothing that is going to ruin your holiday. Inside the hotel is was always very clean.

When we arrived at the hotel, we had excellent service. Our bags were taken straight to our rooms for us.

The room was very spacious. We had two adults, one baby and a 15 year old girl. The sofa bed is uncomfortable but could cope with for a week. The bedroom was very spacious with a decent sized wardrobe. The balconies all showed excellent views. The pool view was fantastic.

The staff was more than friendly and we couldn't thank them enough. So are the cleaners, who gave fresh towels everyday.
The bathrooms were very good as they consisted of two sinks, bath/shower and toilet. The two sinks made it a lot easier to get ready!

The food was also excellent with very different things to offer every night. The best thing about the food was being able to have steak for breakfast! When do you get that when your at home!

The pool was very clean and cleaned daily. The major bad point about this hotel was the sun bed situation. It states that towels can not reserve beds, but they do. We got up at eight o'clock one morning and all we could find was one unreserved bed. The earliest we had to get up was seven to make sure that we got enough beds. The pool is overlooked by the beach. Very easy access.

The entertainment on a night was also extremely good. There was a mini disco that started at eight o'clock and then at nine there was different entertainment on every night. One thing you have to watch is the African acrobatics. This is very good fun to watch. The entertainment also involves the kids to make it more interesting.

I would strongly recommend this hotel and would definitely go again.

Review title: "Fariones Playa Aparthotel A Must!"
Travel date: March 2008
We stayed in the Fariones Playa Aparthotel from the 2nd March to the 9th March 2008. It was our ninth trip to Lanzarote and can honestly say that this was the best accommodation we have ever stayed in. Our two children aged nine and seven were also with us. The staff were extremely friendly and could not do enough for us.

The rooms were cleaned every day as well as fresh towels and bedding. The accommodation was very spacious for a family of four. I would strongly recommend a stay at the Fariones Playa.

Review title: "Fariones Playa"
Travel date: August 2004
We have two children, a girl and boy now 15 and 11. We all had a fantastic time. In fact, we are going this year again, My sister in law's family went with us the same year. They have gone back every year since. That says it all. Looking forward to going to the Fariones Playa again in July.

Review title: "Jewel In The Crown Of Lanzarote"
Travel date: August 2004
This adventure to Lanzarote started four years ago. We first went in 2001 and stayed at the Fariones Playa Aparthotel for the first time, it certainly wasn't the last. My wife and I along with our two boys weren't too sure where to go for our first holiday abroad so we consulted a friend in the travel business, she recommended Fariones
Playa Aparthotel.

When we arrived, it became clear at first that it was clean, the staff very friendly and it didn't deserve a 4**** rating, it should have been 5*****. We were taken to our room by a very polite and well presented bell boy who took time to explain entrances, location of lifts, a joke and a ruffle of the hair for the kids and on arrival at our room the whole explanation of the air conditioning system. Thank goodness for a/c. Needless to say the whole room was immaculate, large open plan bedroom to a large sitting area and not to forget the bathroom with two sinks. I've tried to convince my wife we need two sinks! I've saved the best for last, the balcony! I always knew I appreciated a good view but what I was to discover literally stopped me in my tracks - a blue ocean with an outstanding rolling beach and the discreet rustle of palm trees.

Once unpacked it was time to discover the rest of the Fariones. It consisted of three pools for every level of swimming with volcanic rock showers, not to mention the fact that they where spotlessly clean, a pool bar which was sheltered and enough seating for at least 30 people around it, tables for ordering food if you chose the option. Anytime we did order, the food was excellent. There were pool tables to keep all ages entertained and a children's activity area which was of a very high standard. Access to the beach was very close at hand and secured under the watchful eye of a very discreet security man. Around the pool area the sun loungers where widely available, the myth that the Germans take all the loungers is unfounded. Everyone is at it, English, Spanish, Irish and of course the Germans but anyone having problems finding one where assisted by the friendly poolside attendants. The poolside was swept and mopped at the end of each day and the beginning of each morning and if you where fortunate enough to rise early, you would see and hear the flocks of emerald green parakeets which make a daily fly past.

If your kids need a bit more entertaining, there is the kids' club which seems to keep the little ones happy. My kids liked the pool and beach and personally with the weather back home, I was glad to see them out playing in the good weather. Be warned though the Lanzarote breeze is deceiving.

We are returning this August for two weeks. Puerto del Carmen is fantastic for families and couples but this review is about the Fariones Playa Aparthotel. Go and visit Lanzarote as a whole and you'll not be disappointed. It's a great place but need I say more, four years in a row. Boring some might say but when you find a place like this with so much to offer I think most would agree that it is worth returning to. I suppose that's why you bump into returning people of the same mind set? Try it, you'll not be disappointed!
