My wife, granddaughter and I stayed in Lanzaplaya for a week in May 2006. It is situated in a quiet street back from the beach in the centre of Puerto del Carmen with parking in the one-way street outside. The apartments are very new and either face west or south so they catch most of the sun. There are three pools, two climate controlled (one for the kiddies). Spare sun beds always available. There is also a small children's playground which our grandchild loved.

All meals are available, if required, or there are three mini markets close by. The apartments are very good, clean and fully equipped with TV and usual kitchen equipment, nice breakfast bar between the kitchen and lounge. Metal gauze covers the bedroom window to prevent insects or intruders at night.

The entrance doors are automatic with a beautiful fountain inside. The reception area is to one side with very helpful and pleasant staff. To summarise, very clean, lovely setting and close to all amenities. We will be going again.

Stayed in Lanzaplaya Apartments. These apartments were very clean and the location was ideal, very close to main strip and beach. These apartments were ideal for families. No noise at night. Very family orientated. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Only problem was not enough sun beds. The shop in the apartments was a little bit more expensive than the other supermarkets near by.

Entertainment could have been provided to the poolside bar at night time. Got great value from some of the restaurants near by, especially the American Indian restaurant and La Chiquita Tex Mex. The prices were very good and the staff very friendly. Sorry to say but the biggest rip offs were in the Irish bars, bar one which was the Spinnaker with friendly staff and good food. I would go back again to Lanzaplaya.
