We have been going to Benidorm for 30 years, two or three times a year and have stopped in most of the top hotels. The Rio Park is the best one so far. I only like plain food and not mixed up and I like to see what we are eating. We did take a lot of money back to England as we did not need to buy food out.

The pool area could do with foam pads. We do not mind paying for this service. Jose Martin and his team give 100%, making sure you have a good holiday. This is the only hotel we will stay in the future. We did not expect to get happy hour in a hotel. This was great.

I thought staying in the Rio Park was great to be honest. Met a load of people, all friendly. A lot of food set out. Lovely weather. What more can you want? I can't fault the hotel apart from no kettle in the hotel room itself.

Review title: "Rio Park Is A Good Clean Hotel. Food Great."
Travel date: August 2009
We stayed at the Rio Park the first week in August and I thought it was a great hotel - very welcoming to English people and very, very clean. The linen and towels were changed every day.

I was very impressed also with the food which was varied and good quality with a lovely salad bar.

I loved Benidorm, especially the Old Town and I would definitely go there again. I loved it.

Very disappointed. When going for dinner, get the lift an hour before or you will have no chance. Beds older than the hotel, I think. Bed settee broken.

Meals very basic – OK if you're a chip lover. No smoking in the bar area, or reception area. Entertainment done by staff total rubbish. Up a very quiet street and a long walk for the older folks. Breakfast OK if you like cold beans. Wouldn't go back to the Rio Park for free!

Review title: "Rio Park Hotel The Best"
Travel date: March 2009
We went to the Rio Park for the first time in January for two weeks. Was very pleased with everything the hotel did, so when we got back home, we booked up for two weeks in March from which we have just returned and once again, the hotel gave us the best food, a very clean apartment and the staff were very helpful. A first class manager.

We will always be going back to the Rio Park for our holidays. The management and staff shows are very entertaining and very funny, so if you have never been to the Rio Park I would say go and have a good holiday at the best hotel in Benidorm.

Just returned from the Rio Park. Must say very nice and clean. Food good. Rooms smallish but comfortable.

The hotel manager, Jose, was the life of the party and the staff shows they put on were excellent. They were as good as some of the acts in the clubs. The only down side was the bar staff not being able to count when giving change.

Apart from that, a brilliant place to stay. P.S. When getting off the coach, watch out for pick pockets. They are waiting for you as one old disabled lady found out. She lost £700, so be very careful.

Hotel staff very good. The staff on the front desk all spoke English. Food was excellent - a lovely choice every night, with an excellent Sunday lunch on the Sunday.

Rooms were clean and well kept daily. Large pool with a daily life guard, so great if you have kids.

We have stayed at the Rio Park many times over the years. There has been a lot of improvement over the past year or two due to the upgrade. The staff are pleasant and helpful, especially the reception staff.

The rooms are of a good size (except the single rooms, very small and no balcony), nicely furnished and decorated. All have air conditioning, which is fantastic for the single rooms as they no longer feel claustrophobic.

The restaurant has improved greatly with the addition of the live cooking station.

If you are looking for a hotel with good facilities location and price you cannot go wrong with the Rio Park.

We have just returned after a fantastic week in sunny Benidorm. We stayed in the Hotel Rio Park and have got to say what a great hotel it is.

The hotel gave us a lovely welcome, with very well spoken Spanish reception staff and a good variety of English staff as well. The rooms have a modern interior with daily maid service. Also, we did notice that the top throw that goes on top of the sheets was changed during our stay. Ladies notice that sort of thing because they had fresh fold marks).

We could not fault the restaurant one bit. It was fantastic with a wide range of foods and what appealed to us was the late time that breakfast finished - 10.30 am because being in our 40's, with no children in tow, we made the most of the happy hours and entertainment in the local bars in the evenings, just five minutes stroll away from the hotel.

The hotel is just a five to ten minute stroll away from the beach and is in a central position. We would definitely go back to this hotel again as it is modern and spotlessly clean. The only reason we do not give the hotel a ten out of ten is because although we were early in the season, it would have been nice to have a bit of something more as regards entertainment to do during the day. (We are being very fussy there as well).

Work on new hotel alongside Rio Park did not interfere with our enjoyment of facilities. I did not see or hear it. Two weeks of complete enjoyment. Staff and entertainment A1. Hygiene a very high standard.

Have stayed in the Rio Park three times in the past and even now we stay in apartments, when we go back to Benidorm, we always go to visit the managing director Jose and Paco in the bar as they are very nice people and always make you welcome.

Recently refurbished hotel with very big pool and staff entertainment. Well worth a stay.

Well, we went there in 2003 and we thought it was ace. Kids' club was ace, food was excellent and nothing was too much for the staff. We are going again in two days and we all can't wait and this year my big sister and her boyfriend are coming along.
