The Joya is a lovely hotel but not for the British. 90% of occupants were Spanish. Food also was Spanish and they did not really cater for the British.

I spent seven nights at the Joya in September of this year and would not hesitate to go back. Although the food was basic and with a continental breakfast, the hotel was very clean with daily maid service and fresh towels.

The pool was great, if a little deep in the shallow end, so be careful. On a scale of one to ten I'd give the hotel Joya seven and an improvement in the food would make ten. We were more than happy.
