The apartments are not very suitable for the elderly or infirm due to their elevated position in the resort.

Facilities at the complex include a cafeteria, parking, swimming pool and sun terrace.

No room for mates, so the guy wanted them to sleep in a store room for the night. At least he was going to take his dog out first. A massive dump. Seen better accommodation in the film 'Slumdog Millionare'. Don't go.
"Budget Apartments. Steep Hill Location"

The apartments are no better or worse than any two star budget. They are fine for me. I know what I will get and it suits me fine. The location is a problem if you struggle to walk up fairly long steep hills but a bus runs along the road at the top or taxis are not too bad.
The Rincon is really just a suburb, full of hotels and flats and not much in way of shops or restaurants.
The pool is a bit on the small size but fine to cool off in and the grounds are in the sun from 11ish to five. There is a gentleman there to give you the keys during the day.
I enjoyed my stay - it was very clean and quiet. Two words of warning though - no lifeguard and no electric kettle/toaster - in fact, I only had two electric rings to cook [which I don't] and no microwave or oven.
I would say if you don't pay too much, you will enjoy your stay at the Don Gregorio.

I would never stay at the Don Gregorio again. What an awful place. We arrived after 9 p.m. so had to go on a 20 minute cab ride to get the keys and then you have to lay out a 100 euros deposit for breakages - what on earth can you break in there - enough stuff is broke already.
The bar shuts early so no nights round the pool but you have to leave the pool by 7 p.m. The reception is only open for a few hours and then when someone is there, you have to search around for them.
As for the apartment, it was awful. We had plug sockets hanging off the wall, the bathroom ceiling was falling off and wardrobe doors were hanging off. If you speak to any of the locals who live there, mainly English, they just laughed and said how did you end up in there!

After arriving at the Don Gregorio, it was more like 'Fawlty Towers' but missing Manuel and Basil Fawlty. Once we had checked in and were nearly 100 euros out of pocket in case anything was damaged or stolen (what to break? or steal the toilet paper or take dirty towels?) we got to the room on the ground floor with the swimming pool and pool table right outside the bedroom window (swimming pool and bar area closed early but pool table was 24 hours - super!)
Rooms were spacious and clean on arrival (basic) but as the week went on, shopping consisted of toilet rolls as required. Towels were white to start with but after a week's use, they were black. In temperatures of 80 degrees plus, not very hygienic. You have to empty your own kitchen bin in the road side dustcart.
If I worked at the place as an employee, what an easy job! Would I stay at this apartment again? Answer no. We were greeting people who had just arrived and letting people in who had split up with family and friends as there was no reception! We have stayed in two star accommodation before with no problem. Whoever rated this as two star must own the place!

I stayed here at the Don Gregorio for one week. I found the apartment very spacious and clean. Would recomend these apartments for all adult holidays, not really good for children.
Will definitely book these again. Great location and secure but it would be nice to have a couple of sets of keys for the outer gate and entry door as people have to shout for entry.

Standard accommodation, clean apartment 7B, slot TV one euro per hour. Situated in a hilly area but taxis are cheap as chips, close to shops and any amount of pubs - recommend the 'Royal Britannia' and 'Peggy's Tartan Bar'. 'Queens' in the old town is the absolute best for evening meals.
All in all Don Gregorio is a cheap and cheerful place to stay. I would have no quibble about going back. Rated Don G at seven as it's a little off the beaten track and up a hill. Has to be ten out of ten for Benidorm in general - something there for everyone.

1. Make sure you arrive before 9 p.m. otherwise when you get there you will have to travel 15 minutes in a taxi to another hotel for the apartment key. No receptionist at Don Gregorio to give you the key,.
2. Only one toilet roll for two weeks so you have to buy your own.
3. Bar (pool) closes at seven so if you want a quiet night round pool you have to get your own alcohol. Don't get caught as it's not allowed - no going in pool after seven either but we did just be quiet. They can throw you out of hotel. Does mention it on notice board.
4. Maid comes once a week on a Saturday and that's your lot.
5. Don't buy chips from hotel - they give them you raw. Check your food really well. Trust me, I didn't and the toilet in our room was my best friend.

The Don Gregorio Apartments are very noisy at night time. The ground floor is very noisy as you can hear people coming in late at night.
The girl who works there behind the counter serving food is very pretty and overall she is the only good thing about the apartments.

The Don Gregorio were the worst apartments I have ever stayed in! The maids obviously don't know how to clean and they don't know what good a repair man is!
To top matters off, we were woken up every morning after five by people screaming and jumping in the pool. There should have some sort of security looking so people don't have to put up with that. Warning to all - do not go, especially those with kids!

Don't go if you like to have clean towels and bedding after your first week without having to ask for them, if you like to have a room so full of dust that you can write your name in it. My wife had to go out and buy a bottle of three in one bleach to clean the toilet, bath and sink.
It is a DIY holiday and if you have kids forget it. People were jumping into the pool at 4.30 in the morning and shouting and screaming. Just forget it.
