Hotel Centro Playa

I stayed in this hotel way back in August 1987. It was great. I can remember the roof top swimming pool and it's location was excellent. You were on a little bank heading from the old town up towards the Point. If you walked down the road 20 yards you were at the Levante beach. If you walked up the bank 50 yards you would be at 'Sherry's' bar.

The 'Cove' was only a short walk from Sherry's down some steps and this was superb, we often go there for a relaxing sunbath and swim as you can walk right out into the sea as their are no rocks in the way.... and its sheltered by the harbour.

The Hotel was called the 'Mayor' in those days and was a 1 star so if it's been upgraded that can only be a good thing as it was superb when i stayed there.

views from the balconies are of the street below which is always busy with people coming and going, so you'll never be bored sitting on your balcony.
