Have just returned from the Benidorm Plaza and had a great time. Hotel is very clean, large dining room and lounge and food excellent - so are the staff. Great prices on drinks from the bar - two spirits and mixer for five euros and two large beers five euros. Would recommend the new refurbished rooms with LCD TV,walk in shower room and all modern fittings - great.

The Benidorm Plaza hotel is dirty and the staff are rude. We stayed there and the room we had was filthy. The bathroom ceiling was black, the food wasn't fit for a pig and the staff in the restaurant were all for the Spanish guests while the Brits were ignored. One waiter shouted at my partner and reduced her to tears and the holiday rep for Thomson said 'It's OK, that's how they talk to me'. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone if they are thinking of going to Benidorm.

Also, the Thomson staff at the airport on the way back were very unhelpful. My baggage ended up in Manchester. We were in the right queue for Birmingham but were told we could move to another queue but we said, that's the Manchester one but she said it was OK and when I realised my case had a Manchester label put on it, it was too late as my bag had gone and when I asked the Thomson's rep, she said it will go to Birmingham and just walked off. My bag went to Manchester and was tampered with overnight and all our duty free went missing so don't book a holiday at the Benidorm Plaza hotel or with Thompson as they are so unprofessional.
