As I walked through the door of the apartment at the Cumana, the smell of must and damp was overpowering. Poor hygiene, but all the basics were there. Just the smell was terrible. I asked a member of staff for air freshener and got none. Will find another place to stay the next time I visit there.

This was our seventh and last time in the Cumana apartments. The rooms were over run with ants. Complex dirty and not maintained as well as in previous year. Children and dogs allowed to urinate by the side of pool. Is more of a Spanish complex than a multi national one. Staff spoke little or no English. Would not recommend these apartments to anyone.

Cumana apartments are in a really nice spot situated in the side of a mountain with great views. If you are able bodied, it is brilliant. No good for disabled people and elderly who are unable to walk far.

Staff very good and helpful. Apartments clean and pool area very clean and looked after. Just a really nice place to stay and you are made welcome. Would recommend it to anyone.

Best apartments we've ever stayed in. Very clean, modern and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Only slight nuisance was some work being done below our apartment at 8 a.m. on a couple of mornings but that didn't spoil our holiday.

We would like to go back to Cumana Apartments next year but would prefer a lower down apartment as there were a lot of steps up to the top ones where we were staying.

Myself and my ex boyfriend stayed here for two weeks in August 2007 and it was gorgeous. The Cumana apartments are so picturesque and lovely inside. The pool is great - we swam everyday and the food from the poolside bar is lovely. The owner and staff are also so friendly and welcoming. I want to go back now!

I visited the Cumana apartments on New Years Day 2005. I had already visited Lanzarote, Tenerife and Fuerteventura and we thought, lets visit Gran Canaria. I found Lanzarote a brilliant place and thought that Gran Canaria wouldn't beat it.

Puerto Rico is a great place. Its all compact in its area and has wonderful scenery. The people are friendly and all welcome you to their pubs ands restaurants. The nightife is amazing and the prices are very, very reasonable.

Friends we were traveling with got a one bedroomed apartment which was set at the back of the complex which wasn't very nice as it was really dark. We had an apartment at the front of the complex which was absolutely beautiful. We were half way up the Puerto Rico hill and the view was breathtaking and the apartments were lovely and filled with all the needed requirements.

I'm only 17 and my 18th birthday is in November this year. I am planning to go back to the Cumana in December 2005. All i can say is to visit this place. Its AMAZING.
