Stayed for a week in October 2007. Hotel was excellent, food was good - lots of choice for breakfast/dinner and staff were really friendly and helpful (except the receptionist but think she'd had a hard time from some never satisfied people). Pool brill and every day the whole area washed down and kept tidy.

Right on the beach and next to shops and pubs. Rooms good - always checked and towels changed. Short airport transfer and close to Salou and PortAventura theme park (brill place). Going back in October 2008 (two weeks this time). Would recommend the Maritim Princess hotel no problem.

We stayed at the Maritim Princess and on the whole found it to be very good. The food was good in that there was enough variety not to go hungry with plenty of salads, fresh bread and fruit. The meat or fish was not always to our taste but we did not go hungry.

We had a junior suite which was very nice but the hotel was originally going to put us into one bedroom for four. As I did not book this, I showed them my documentation that I had brought with me (thank goodness) so they honoured this.

I have read other reviews and I must agree that the British and Northern Irish are definitely in the minority here. We found the majority of the clients to be Russian hence the title. The hotel staff were courteous but were definitely more in tune with the Russian, French and German guests. It was a bit intimidating at times and the entertainment was OK but again catered more for the other nationalities.

I have to say at this point as paying clients everyone should be treated the same which unfortunately did not happen. The Maritim should not advertise their hotel to British or Northern Irish if they do not want our custom (or money). Yes, I would recommend the Maritim as a hotel - good location, clean pool but would take my friends and family next time.

Superb location, extremely clean, well managed, helpful and polite staff, very nice rooms, excellent range of foods available with excellent dessert table with fresh strawberries and cherries, pineapple, melon and many other fruits plus cake, jellies and puddings galore.

I would highly recommend this hotel and it does deserve a higher rating. Plenty of activities during the day with a pool, gym, indoor pool, tennis court, table tennis and in the evening, entertainment in the main bar or to relax with a quiet drink the piano bar, with internet and games machines also available. You should find something to keep you entertained. Additionally just a short walk from the hotel there are bars and restaurants if you want a change.

My opinion is go and have great holiday. I'm sure you will not be disappointed.

The hotel is very impressive and is right next to the beach. The staff are very friendly and the service is excellent. We stayed half board at the hotel and thought the food was very good considering they cater for so many. The food was as good at the start of the dining period to the end with plenty of choice for all needs. I would definitely go back again. It was rated as a three star hotel but it felt more like a four star.
