The five star Le Meridien Penina Golf & Resort Hotel is situated on a 360 acre estate, some 5 kilometres from Portimao, 10.5 kilometres from Lagos and 4 kilometres from Alvor in the Algarve, southern Portugal.

The accommodation, at the Le Meridien Penina, comprises 64 rooms and suites in the east wing, which is fully open, and 74 rooms and suites in the central wing, due to reopen end of April 2008. The west wing is currently being refurbished and will re-open later in 2008. The rooms and suites each have a bathroom with hairdryer, and are equipped with air conditioning, satellite television, a direct dial telephone, internet access, a mini bar and a safety deposit box.

The facilities, at the Hotel, are as would be expected of a five star establishment and include five restaurants, four bars, 24 hour reception and room service, laundry service, lifts, shops, banqueting suites, Wi-fi internet access, a business centre and conference rooms for up to 300 delegates. The Hotel also has a swimming pool, a children's pool, playground and club, a beauty salon, a hairdresser, a gym and massage rooms. On the estate are 3 golf courses, a driving range, a full size football pitch, a jogging track and 6 tennis courts.
