Review title: "Not Great"
Travel date: May 2008
The room was cleaned everyday and fresh towels supplied. On the whole, the hotel was clean.

We were half board for the meals and it was a buffet restaurant. The food was only just warm and on some occasions, it was cold. There were signs above the food to say what it was, however, it was all in Spanish - nothing was in English. In some cases you were better off not knowing what you were eating - it was really awful!

The only English signs in the hotel where in the corridors saying 'Please keep quiet'.

The reception staff and the bar staff were not particularly helpful and they made you feel like they did not want you there. The hotel was mainly full of Spanish people the week we were there and it seems that the hotel were only catering for them.

There were no resturants or bars near the hotel to go to.
The nearest town was Guardamar which you could get a bus to from outside the hotel. It came every hour on the hour.
The bus took about ten minutes and there were plenty of resturants and bars to get decent food there.

The website for the hotel states that there is a gym, sauna and tennis courts - we never saw any of these! If you are looking for a quiet holiday away from everything and don't want to eat much, then the Campomar is the place to go!

Review title: "Campomar Hotel - Very Disappointing"
Travel date: May 2008
We booked in for seven nights but only stayed for one night. We found the Campomar hotel exceptionally noisy into the early hours of the morning i.e. 4 a.m. and people shouting and banging doors etc.

The standard of the room was well below expectations and the evening meal and breakfast was not very appetising to a degree that we found alternative accommodation at extra expense in Guardamar. We had no complaints about the staff. We enjoyed the rest of our weeks holiday in Guardamar.

Review title: "Campomar Hotel, Excellent Value"
Travel date: May 2005
A large busy hotel, most rooms have a sea view and small balcony. It is only minutes from the excellent beach, with a board walk to get you over the dunes. Good facilities for disabled people.

Dining is buffet style, and despite the number of guests, you can find a pleasant, secluded area to eat in the dining room. Bottles of water and red wine are on each table. Staff do not speak much English, and most of the guests were Spanish.

The small attractive town of Guardamar is about two kilometres away and a bus is provided once an hour right outside the hotel to the town centre. For the price, we found the hotel excellent value, clean and comfortable, and despite the large number of guests, we could always find a quiet spot.

If you like a beach holiday, and you like trying out different types of food without the help of an English menu, this will be fine for you. We intend to go back there.
