Just had a fantastic week at the Carlota. Staff very friendly and helpful from reception to maids. Rooms clean, food good, staff very friendly. Would go back again. Some nights they had entertainment.

The only downside was that the bar closed at midnight. Can't wait to go back. Made a lot of friends.

The Carlota apartments were OK. The bar staff were funny and friendly but I didn't think there was much to do there at the apartments, although me and my mum enjoyed the beach and Puerto Rico very much. The sun was fantastic and I got a good tan. Say something for the Carlota - the views were really good. Me and my mum go back this year and we are looking forward to it, only in different apartments.

The Carlota apartments are basic but clean. No air con, you need to hire a fan at six euros/week. OK only in room it is in. Bedrooms very hot and humid.

Staff friendly, bar is small and absolutely no atmosphere.
Did not bother with barbecue on the Thursday. Not sad enough to want to stay in the apartment block all day and night.
You need to get out and explore and come back late. Pool is OK for a little swim. Very dangerous for kids or non swimmers as it is very deep (over six foot) and not covered or cordoned off at night.

Best of all is the views from level three.

Carlota apartments were brilliant. Rooms were basic but clean. Pool bar was awesome - food was brilliant but drink was a bit more expensive than in town but not much. Staff were really friendly. Reception don't speak much English but you manage.

For people with children that don't swim, these are a no no as the pool is all very deep and kids' pool is very small but overall I enjoyed my stay and will definitely be returning soon!

Fabulous place to stay. Basic but with all you need for a self catering holiday. The hotel has a pool, laundry and a bar which serves bar food. The staff are very friendly and once a week they put on a BBQ for guests. Throughout our stay, we didn't find one thing to complain about, although I must point out that the apartments are a good walk up plenty of steps from the main resort. So not ideal for those with any diabilities!!
