The two star La Florida Hotel is situated some 400 metres from the beach, and about ten minutes walk (downhill) to the harbour, in the old town area of Puerto del Carmen, on the southern coast of Lanzarote, some eight kilometres from the airport.
The accommodation at the four storey La Florida comprises 73 rooms, each having a private bathroom/shower, some cooking facilities and a balcony or terrace. The rooms are all equipped with pay to view satellite television and a rental safety deposit box.
The facilities at the hotel include a restaurant/snack bar, a swimming pool surrounded by sun terraces with sun beds and parasols, a luggage room and currency exchange. Some entertainment is provided, and guests can play table tennis and pool. There are a number of shops, bars and restaurants nearby.
Board basis available at this hotel is self catering.

La Florida Apartments looked ok on arrival. However, although they are ten minutes from harbour, they are at least 30 minutes up and down steep, rough pavements. The satellite television consisted of Fox TV.
Apartments were noisy and not very clean. Try Aloe Apartments that are nearer the centre, spotless and a short walk to the strip.
