The three star Kaktus Playa Hotel is situated in Calella, about 50 kilometres from Barcelona and Girona and 12 kilometres from the start of the Costa Brava coastline. The hotel is 100 metres from the beach, which offers one kilometre of sand. The water has been rewarded with the Blue Flag of Quality Water by the EC. The hotel is about ten minutes by foot from the town centre and 15 minutes from the train station.
Facilities at the Kaktus Playa comprise air conditioning and central heating in all the public areas of the hotel, swimming pool for adults and children and bar service, as well as an health club with heated swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and gym. There is entertainment offered by the hotel all week, a car park nearby, three lifts and a luggage room. The hotel has disabled access, a lounge, buffet restaurant and two bars with satellite television.
Rooms at the Kaktus Playa all have a bathroom, air conditioning and central heating, balcony, satellite television, safety deposit box, telephone, double glazed windows and a security lock with magnetic card.

This hotel was fantastic - great service and food, great live entertainment. The bar staff and waiters were attentive, funny and carried out their job really well. Their english would put us all to shame. Thank you all for a fantastic holiday. The only reason I gave it an eight was the rooms were slightly small, as was the pool although as the week went on, we found that a lot of people used the beach which is about a minute walk from hotel.

Their english would put us all to shame. Thank you all for a fantastic holiday.
