The Colina Mar was a great family holiday. They had great activities in the day and the entertainment was okay. They had barbecues on Tuesdays and Fridays - they were nice.
When I was there it was my birthday on the Sunday. I had a great birthday there and would celebrate it abroad again.
The apartments were clean but were very basic and if you were on the top floor you would have great views of the sea and other hotels. I would stay at the Colina Mar again as Puerto Rico is very nice.

I went here for the first time on the 2nd of June for my honeymoon. The apartments were recommended by my mother and father in law who stayed in February. We had an excellent time, entertainment was second to none.
The only negative thing I would say about it was I have stayed in cleaner apartments, not that they were dirty, it was just you didn't get room service everyday.
Wouldn't thing twice about staying at the Colina Mar again. It was great!

Just back from Colina Mar yesterday. Once again had a brilliant holiday. Went in 2006 and again this year for two weeks! We requested the same apartment number, which we got, which was brill! Not a thing had changed, the entertainment was a bit better.
The only negative I can say is the cleaning was a bit thin on the ground! Very disappointed but did not spoil my holiday one bit! Just booking 2008's now for the Colina Mar! Just wish they would do ten days!

This year I visited the Colina Mar again. After my last visit in August 2005, I expected it to be just as good but there was a different entertainer who wasn't as good as the last two from last year. I never expected it to be so different. It was fun but not as much as I last remember.
The hotel is clean, staff are friendly, shops close by. The view is great and the food is good. I won't be going back but I recommend it as a place to go at least once.

Just back from Colina Mar. Basic rooms that need make over but plenty of room for storage.
Staff very friendly. Matt does plenty with adults and older kids but not much for smaller kids. He does not like anything that means work. Normally gets someone else to do it, just likes talking.
Plenty going on in centre up top but shop around for prices for everything. Nice breakfast ‘Flicks', friendly good laugh ‘Mambo' cafe bar. Taxi to bottom three euros. Amadores beach best.
Had a really good time. Would go back but maybe another hotel has I have nine and ten year old boys and would like more going on for them.

Just back from Puerto Rico with my husband, 18 year old son and 15 year old daughter. We had not had a holiday for five years so were riding a lot on this holiday.
The apartments were basic but nice. Loved the location. The Colina Mar staff were helpful and friendly. The restaurant was nice (except when the pigeons were on the loose!) Over all great holiday - great food, great weather. We have booked for next year, even requested the same room number!

I booked a holiday at the Colina Mar for two weeks and I loved every minute of it. The room was great. It was cleaned every two days with clean towels and bedding was changed weekly. The pool was very clean and the bar was fantastic (happy hour).
Matt the entertainer was fab. In the day we played rival shooting, killer pool and water polo and other various sports. At night he used to do kids' party games then later on in the night there was entertainment on and after that was karaoke and music. Apart from that everything was fantastic. I will be there again next year. Already been there twice. Keep it up, Matt, you're great!

I absolutely love this hotel. I have been every year for the past six years, maybe seven. It is great. They have entertainment for everyone and pool games during the day, not to mention the large sea serpent (big floating animal), it is great.
Drinks are cheap, not to mention only three or four minutes walk to the Europa centre or jump in a taxi for four or five euros.
The sea and beach are great, the staff are fantastic - Christian the waiter, don't know if he is still there, tall, dark hair, is great, not to mention Ozay. He is a laugh. He doesn't smile much but once he gets going, he is great. I hope I will see you all at the Colina Mar very soon.

What a great holiday. Went with my wife and two boys aged eight and four and had a fantastic time. The entertainment was excellent with cabaret acts and games every night which suited both adults and children. The pool area and bar were fantastic with food on offer all day and activities on-going at the poolside until early evening.
The hotel reps Emma B and Kim were very helpful and attentive and there was a kids club every day which gave some breathing space to myself and the good lady. I thought the food was excellent with a wide variety of choice. The apartment was also of good value with magnificent views across Puerto Rico. Overall the best holiday and most relaxed venue I have been to.

We loved all our stays at Colina Mar. The rooms were spotless and every time we stay, we get a bottle of wine and chocolates. We like the pool area as you can have it busy or quiet as there are two pools, both very nice and well looked after.
The staff are very helpful and if you have any problems in your apartment, they are there very quickly, The food in the restaurant has a good choice and is varied every night. There is always entertainment day and night and there is always happy hour. Can't wait to back in February 2006.

My fiancee, myself and his two children aged seven and nine went to the Colina Mar on the 13th December for a winter break. We really enjoyed it.
The rooms were basic but really clean, as well as the pool area and bar. We were happy to leave the children to hang around the site as the employees stopped any trouble or troublemakers from starting and were really friendly and helpful. I would definately stay there again with the children as I know they would be safe.

Well, I'm 15 and have been on holiday with my my mum, stepdad and my pal to Colina Mar. We all had an excellent time at the hotel and in Puerto Rico. There was so much entertainment on during the day like games and races and at night the entertainment was also really good. There was an acrobat show and sumo night which is a great laugh and more.
You got great weather. Food wasn't that good as I thought but I'm a fussy eater. I was at the pool table as soon as the entertainment finished about 9.30/10pm until like 1am. That is where I met all of my friends. There is happy hours as well. All of these areas I have noted are about the hotel. Its great for all ages and people ... well except disabled people as the hotel is at the very top of the hill. I want to go back!

I went to the Colina Mar apartments in 2004 with my mum, dad, sister, brother and sister in law. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it.
There were two pools and (I don't know if there are now!) and you had a choice which one you sat round. The restaurant was great and I thought the food was excellent. The entertainment was good and the whole complex had a family feel.
The only problem was that it was a little far from the beach and shops. I know the Europa centre is only across from it but we went round it every night and it got a bit boring.
I would go back any day now as I love Gran Canaria (we've been three times!) and I would highly recommend anyone to go as the staff there are also fantastic. A great hotel for a great holiday!

We stayed at the Colina Mar on two occasions. The fact that we requested the same room the second time, shows how much we enjoyed ourselves. Once we were on self-catering and the other time on half board.
The hotel has two nice pool areas and ample space for lying around. The food was good and the entertainment was also good with different acts every night.
Because we requested the same room, on arrival in our room we were greeted with a bottle of wine and a box of chocolates. I would recommend it to families or couples.

I recommend couples, singles and families to visit, it is so beautiful there. We are going back in September 2005. Hopefully we will have the same rooms as we had before. Our son will not go anywhere else because he loves it there so much. Thanks
