We spent two weeks in the Sunset Beach Club apartments and we were on the fourth floor which was high enough. We were facing the pool and the sea which was lovely! When we arrived we were a bit confused because the reception was on the sixth floor and we had to go down to our apartment! The pool, supermarket and restaurants were all on the first floor. Don't believe what you hear about the cleaning staff hogging the lifts because we experienced none of this as there were plenty of lifts to go round - however it may be a bit more of a problem if you are on the 14th floor! The kitchen was excellent - it was very well equipped but was small enough. The bathroom, living room and bedroom were a good size. Be careful of the shower as it was constantly changing temperature and was dangerous for young children.

Lots of activities eg: snorkelling, kid's club, computers, snooker tables, table tennis etc. Pool area was very clean and pools were a good size-one heated and a lovely children's pool and safe play area. Pool was shallow but got as much as eight feet deep. There were no floats or balls allowed so it was very spacious. Lifeguard was on duty from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. There is also a special door that you can use for access to the beach but is in such a way that only residents can get back in via the use of their card for the apartment so you have no unwanted visitors!

Lovely shops, restaurants and bars nearby. Theme park, cable car ride and aqua park also available. A moonlight bar also hosts shows some of which you have to pay for(but you get a discount if you are a resident) and some that are free. Overall, it was a brilliant holiday and we would defiantly recommend it to anyone with a young/teenager family. Also the staff and the cleaners were very friendly and helpful but some had glum faces but don't be put off by that! There is also a lovely bakery on site and security is brilliant. Can't wait to go back as soon as possible!

An absolutely fabulous hotel which is located adjacent to the sea.

The rooms are spacious, clean and have everything you would expect from a quality hotel.

I stayed at the hotel accompanied by my elderly mother of 87 years who also thoroughly enjoyed this hotel.

The pool area is very comfortable and relaxing and in the evening you could listen to light music, watch sports in the piano bar which was equally pleasant. Only visited the restaurant once due to circumstances but found the facilities and food excellent also.

The only minor problem which prevented me giving a perfect score is the hotel stands on a steep incline of about 20 yards to reach the hotel door when you are walking from the main promenade but there are handrails to hold onto.

Certainly I would be happy to return and give a glowing recommendation.

Anyone going anywhere near Benalmadena should head straight for the Sunset Beach Club. Amazing hotel defiantly earned those 4 stars! Worth every penny. Rooms are fabulous pool is clean and large I can't honestly see any fault with the whole place! A+++++++
