My family spent two lovely weeks at the Kings Apartments, Quarteira and were pleasantly surprised as we had little information before going. Staff were very friendly and helpful and apartment was spacious and clean with a large balcony. The pool was large enough to cool down and my two boys had lots of fun with other kids too. I think it is ideal for a family holiday with only a short walk to the beach and bustling promenade.

The weather was just superb for the fortnight - not one drop of rain! Nearby we had a fantastic day at a water park, only a short bus ride away. Villamoura is also very close and within walking distance to the marina. Everything said, we had a great holiday and would definately recommend it.

Not suitable for young families but OK for older couples. We upgraded to a one bedroom apartment which was clean and tidy, roomy and basic with all the usual facilities. Some painting and drilling was being carried out during our stay which we were not told about.

There is not much of a view at the front and the main market sets up in front of the apartments every Wednesday. Not really worth the visit.

The worst aspect of the whole holiday in Quarteira is the barking dogs. Every dog seems to take it in turn to bark like mad every hour, 24 hours a day.
