The Venecia Park hotel is one of the worst I have ever stayed at. The food was constantly served stone cold, the staff were ignorant and reception staff miserable.

The Venecia Park is an absolutely horrendous hotel. Food dire, staff rude and ignorant, entertainment non existent. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
Salou is a great place but any one thinking of staying in this dump, I beg you - please, please, please think again.

We found the Venecia Park to be clean and tidy. The pool area was not all that clean. The staff were great. The food was well presented and eatable. For the price we paid for it, it was a good hotel.
Entertainment was not all that good. I must admit on that side of it it could do a very lot better. We did not see a rep once while we where there.

"Stay Away "

I gave been to Salou (all-inclusive) for a few years now and this must have been the worst place I have been to. Took my daughter and her family with me and was so disappointed with the whole place.
There was no entertainment day or night. One Spanish guy was the kids' entertainer and he played two holes of crazy golf with them one day and took off. There was NO entertainment for them whatsoever the whole week.
The food was catered for the Spanish and my grand kids were having none of it. Needless to say we had to eat out most of the time. Usually you get sick of chips, but not here, they were only on once the whole week.
The swimming pool area was hosed down once that week and the dirty water hosed into the pool. Everyone complained to the rep but it fell on deaf ears I'm afraid. He was more interested in selling you a mobile home or taking a trip. The restaurants adjacent to the hotel said it was closing down in a few weeks but when asked, it had bookings for June. My advice to anyone going to this hotel is stay away, please.

"Venecia Park Hotel Is Fantastic"

I thought that the Venecia Park was brilliant. We went all inclusive and the food was really good. The staff were really friendly and spoke very good English. The rooms were very clean and tidy.
The beach down the road was very good and it was so close to all of the night life in Salou. We went walking along the front at night and I would suggest it to anyone of a romantic disposition. I will definitely be going again.

"Not Bad, I Guess"

Went to this hotel in May 2006. Wasn't bad but the food was disgraceful. There was never any entertainment except for one night only, one swimming pool. Not great maid service but I must say all the staff were absolutely great and funny. There was Carlos, one of the bar men and Raphael the DJ and Hamish the life guard - they were all well nice,
Opposite the hotel was the 'Tropicana' pub. We ate there nearly every night. Anyone who goes there must, and I mean must, visit PortAventura. The 'Dragon Khan' was unforgettable. Would recommend location but not the hotel.

"Don't Stay Here!"

My partner and I stayed in this hotel for a little break as it was my birthday; we wished we had stayed at home! The staff in the hotel were extremely rude and unhelpful, the rooms were full of mosquitoes which had nests in the air-conditioning system and the food, well, I have never or would ever eat pigs trotters for breakfast!! It was disgusting. The overall area wasn't too bad and you definitely have to go to Port Aventura. But just don't stay in this dump.
