"Dona Carlota Apartments"

Well, here should I start? I stayed here in the summer of 2003 and to be honest, the apartments and gardens looked beautiful, but inside looked like a bomb. For instance, the bed broke when we sat on it, the plank of wood snapped and made a hole. The bathroom cabinet fell off the wall every time we opened it, the television was all in Spanish (which didn't bother us too much), there was hardly any air con, only in the living room which was a huge generator thing which made such an awful noise every time we switched it on - I mean, come on, Spanish August time is a must for air con. My uncle's room had an ants nest under the bed. We had to call a termite man in. It was disgusting!
Even the pool was unclean. My dad and younger sister both suffered an ear infection as a result of the uncleanliness which lasted the whole holiday. They couldn't go back in the water! Not only this, but a few other people caught an ear infection who were also staying at the apartments the same time as us.
Costa del Sol is a lovely place to visit. It is just a shame we chose to stay in these apartments. Oh, and another thing, when we first arrived on our coach in the middle of the night, the hotel gates were shut, no-one to greet or help us in, in fact the guard was asleep at the desk!! So my dad had to climb over the garden fence walls to go fetch someone to help and let us in. How bad service is that and this was the middle of the night! The holiday rep wanted to take other holiday makers to their hotels, not trying to try and grab hotel staff's attention to let us even in!
